In a concerted effort to curb the proliferation of illegal firearm modifications, Irving police, in collaboration with federal and local agencies, have apprehended eight individuals aged 17 to 22 for allegedly distributing machine gun conversion devices, commonly known as Glock switches.

The investigation, initiated in September, revealed that two suspects had ordered these illegal devices from China, facilitating their distribution across North Texas, including areas such as Arlington, Fort Worth, and Seagoville.
